As I weave my way in the forest of technology, I discover new species daily. Some of the new, up to date, super duper extra latest technologies leave me blank when others have a way to court me until I have to embrace them and adopt them as part of my family of must haves.
What has me more intrigued than the ever morphing new technologies is the slow to change and adapt society. My own personality is driving my response to technology. I have never been afraid of trying new things, meeting new people or putting myself in challenging situation. I learn by trial and errors and I am always prepared for the worst and the best in people. When adults keep on being afraid of Facebook, I have decided that you better be part of it, instead of fighting it. I do not see anything new in behaviors, I just see appropriate and inappropriate behaviors more often and more clearly. In fact, I feel that I have more control over my responses than in the past. I have always had my eyes wide opened on the world, some people are now being forced to do so because of technology and they are scared.

Your attitude is compelling, Irene, and one that I wish was more contagious! Yes, for all those who complain about social networking tools: participate and shape how they are used instead of griping about them! We are all contributors to information now.

See you in March.

Thank you Connie for a great day, I learned so much about the benefits of collaboration. You and Steve were what a teacher needs to be: the person who shows you a path and gently tells you to go ahead and take it. Keep up the good work
